The Lost Weekend

Way too much health drama this week. I’m hoping tomorrow to be able to type.

  1. Oh you poor dear! I’m sending you a big, virtual, allergen free, healing hug.

I’m sorry it’s been such a hard week; you have my COMPLETE sympathy. My skin has caused me more physical pain and mental anguish than anything else in my life. (Well okay, it’s neck and neck with the love of my life saying goodbye. Repeatedly.) All of its quirky issues, its betrayals and utter defiance, leave me feeling self-conscious, frustrated, helpless, angst-ridden, and generally insane.

    Hey all!
Thanks for the love! I’m back at the keyboard today and so very grateful. I’ll try to write a proper post tonight.

    Dear Melanie,
I came upon your piece on Viks and thought I should say HI!. Whenever we are visiting our son in the Bay Area we must go to Viks. I must add that my husband is the best Indian cook around and dont usually go for Indian food but The atmosphere and groceries are a real attraction, We live in Claremont in So. Calif now. Our Daughter eats gluten-free now, so I know the difficulties.
    Hope all is well. Beezy

    Hi Beezy,
Thanks so much for the note and for reading my blog. I love Vik’s! Just thinking about that place makes my mouth water. I hope to get back there soon.

I’d love to hear what your favorite Indian cookbooks are as it’s the one cuisine I’ve really attempted to master. My favorite is Julie Sahni’s Classic Indian Cooking. It’s a masterpiece.

    Thanks again for the note!
